Professor Dr. Norhayati Binti Luddin is a Professor at the School of Dental Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), where she has been serving since 1999. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (GradDipClinDent), and Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) from the University of Adelaide, Australia, between 1998 and 2005. She also passed the Fellowship of The Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) examination in 2004 and has been a fellow of the RACDS since then.
Her research expertise encompasses dental biomaterials, restorative dentistry (prosthodontics and conservative dentistry), and endodontics. She has published over 100 works across journals, books, and popular media and has secured numerous national and international research grants. Professor Dr. Norhayati is also an active supervisor of postgraduate students at both Master’s and Ph.D. levels. Beyond her academic and research roles, she contributes to the profession through journal peer review, editorial board memberships, examiners and research grant evaluations. As of January 2025, she serves as the Dean of the School of Dental Sciences at USM.
